Job summary

Poly6, emerging from MIT, is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for a dual-site manufacturing unit in Burlington, MA. The role focuses on GAAP-compliant reporting, internal controls, and driving operational excellence.

You will partner with the GM/Finance and leadership to support KPI reporting, Business Unit Reviews, budgeting, and continuous improvement, while playing a key role in the transition to Oracle Fusion and system optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; multi-site experience is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure GAAP-compliant results.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, variance analyses, and monthly packages.
• Support KPI development and dashboard reporting for Business Unit Reviews.
• Partner with site leaders to validate KPIs and provide financial insights.
• Rollout and optimize Oracle Fusion, including data validation and process redesign.
• Identify automation and process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analysis.
• Monitor inventory, WIP, standard costs, and variance reporting.
