Job summary

Kuvare Holdings is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee accounting, reporting, and analysis for the holding company system and related entities. This role interfaces with investors and sponsors, coordinating quarterly and annual closes for US and UK entities.

You will report to the Controller and work with multiple Kuvare business units to analyze KPI performance and provide timely, accurate financial information to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in public accounting or financial services/insurance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Interface with finance and accounting departments at operating entities to identify and standardize reporting processes and metrics.
• Lead quarterly and annual close and reporting for Kuvare US Holdings, Inc and Kuvare Holdings LP.
• Improve and standardize monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements at the entity and consolidated levels.
• Compile KPI and reporting metrics from underlying operating entities.
• Provide analysis on operational and financial metrics to drive business decisions.
• Support capital raise activities and respond to sponsor inquiries.
• Handle ad hoc reporting requests from management across Kuvare family of companies.

About The Role

Reporting directly to Kuvare US Holding’s Controller, the Assistant Controller is critical to the accounting, reporting and analysis functions as it relates to Kuvare’s Holding Company system, Kuvare Corporate Management HQ and Kuvare’s underlying operating companies as well as interfacing with Kuvare’s outside investors. From an operational perspective, you will be expected to coordinate and perform the quarterly and annual closing processes for the US and UK holding companies as well as the various accounting and administrative reporting necessary for Kuvare Corporate Management and Kuvare US Holdings. You will be expected to interface closely with different functional areas within Kuvare’s underlying businesses to analyze and report the key performance metrics, and, similarly, to report such findings to Kuvare’s executive team and its financial sponsors and respond to related inquiries.

What You'll Do

• Interface with finance and accounting departments at operating entities to identify, develop and standardize key operational and financial reporting processes and metrics


• General quarterly and annual close and reporting for Kuvare US Holdings, Inc and Kuvare Holdings LP


• Lead efforts to improve and standardize monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements at the operational entities and at the consolidated level


• Compile various KPI’s and other reporting metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis from underlying operating entities


• Provide analysis on operational and financial metrics to help drive business decisions


• Respond to inquiries from financial sponsors as well as assist with Capital Raise activities


• Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from management across the Kuvare family of companies:


• Product benchmarking


• Industry and peer analysis


• Trend analysis


• Assist in entity-wide budgeting and forecasting process


• Special projects as needed

Qualifications

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance


• CPA preferred


• 5-7 years of experience in public accounting (with a focus in financial services/insurance), and/or strategic / analytical work within a financial services / insurance business


• Strong knowledge of both GAAP and statutory accounting principles
