Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller in Elmira, NY, to drive financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls in a growing manufacturing company. You will work closely with the CFO and senior management to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong QuickBooks skills, and proven leadership with the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in Manufacturing.
• GAAP knowledge and financial data analysis required.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and other financial software.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of financial reports and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Guide financial decisions applying company policies to current landscape.
• Develop and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
