The ideal candidate has a BA in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years in manufacturing, strong GAAP knowledge, QuickBooks expertise, and leadership to drive accurate reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and other financial software.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and financial data analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Details: As a permanent Assistant Controller in our growing company, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management and strategic planning of our organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company. You will be working closely with the CFO and other senior management members to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
  1. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
  2. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
  3. Guiding financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape.
  4. Developing, implementing, and maintaining financial controls and guidelines.
  5. Achieving budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  6. Providing support in the preparation of year-end audits.
  7. Assisting in the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
  8. Participating in the development and support of internal control structures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  9. Assisting with the management of the general ledger system, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and cash management.
  10. Supporting the CFO in ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
Qualifications
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting within the Manufacturing industry
  3. Expertise in using QuickBooks and other financial software.
  4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  7. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
  10. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
