Job summary

UHS is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Hospital’s Controller and CFO. The role oversees accounting procedures, month-end closing, journal entries, financial reporting, net revenue calculations, and balance sheet reviews.

The assistant also aids in SOX audits, CHIRP reporting, and proforma modeling, ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures. The candidate will perform financial analysis and advise on operations, contributing to accurate budgeting and tax

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in General Hospital Accounting or other business accounting experience.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Must always demonstrate service excellence.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis in Excel.
• Must adhere to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting procedures and month-end close.
• Assist with financial reporting, net revenue calculations, and budgeting.
• Support SOX audits and internal controls reviews.
• Participate in CHIRP reporting and proforma modeling.
• Conduct financial analysis and advise on operational finance.
• Review balance sheets and tax package preparation.
