Job summary

Ocorian, a leading fund services provider, seeks an Assistant Controller to support the full investment lifecycle across hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital structures in a hybrid Charlotte, NC environment.

You will work with CFOs, fund clients and auditors on financial reporting, valuations and capital calls, driving process improvements and high-quality deliverables with growing assets under management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 1–3 years of accounting or financial services experience, fund accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and analytical/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support CFO clients with fund operations, investment accounting and portfolio reporting.
• Monitor and reconcile investment transactions with portfolio managers and service providers.
• Assist with capital calls, treasury management and investor reporting.
• Review fund valuations, NAV calculations and performance reporting for accuracy.

As an Assistant Controller, you'll work closely with experienced CFO professionals, investment managers and fund clients, playing a key role in delivering financial, operational and reporting support to sophisticated investment structures.This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your technical knowledge, build strong industry expertise and develop your career within a dynamic, global business supporting over $85 billion in assets under management.**Main Responsibilities**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Support CFO clients with fund operations, investment accounting and portfolio reporting across a diverse range of alternative investment structures.* Monitor and reconcile investment transactions, working closely with portfolio managers, counterparties and service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.* Assist with capital calls, treasury management, investor reporting and other activities supporting the lifecycle of investment funds.* Review fund valuations, performance reporting and NAV calculations, ensuring accuracy and high-quality client deliverables.* Collaborate with clients, auditors and internal teams on year-end audits, tax reporting, process improvements and strategic projects.#LI-BF1#LI-Hybrid##### Qualifications Required**Knowledge, Skills and Experience*** Bachelor’s in accounting required.* 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial services, with a focus in fund accounting, alternative investment, and client facing experience.* Strong knowledge of GAAP, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in financial software and systems, and strong communication and leadership abilities.* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
