Job summary

WhiteCap Search is seeking a fund accounting leader to manage comprehensive fund accounting operations, including oversight of outsourced providers, with a focus on Private Credit. You will report to the Head of Fund Accounting and support investments across diverse fund vehicles.

This role offers opportunities to engage in change management, improvements, and ad hoc projects while collaborating with IR, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Deal teams to drive firm-wide excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in fund accounting.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience with Private Credit and Open-End Funds preferred.
• Public Accounting and in-house fund accounting background preferred.
• Experience overseeing or working with a Fund Administrator preferred.

Job description

The role involves managing comprehensive fund accounting operations, including collaboration with outsourced providers. The position requires direct reporting to the Head of Fund Accounting and supports investments across various fund vehicle classes, with a primary focus on Private Credit. This role offers the opportunity to engage in change management, improvements, and ad hoc projects, while working alongside a successful and collegial team in collaboration with IR, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Deal teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute and manage fund accounting operations comprehensively for the firm, including oversight of outsourced providers.
• Support investment activities across a range of fund vehicle classes, with an emphasis on Private Credit.
• Conduct fund accounting tasks, including valuations and preparation of financial statements for fund reporting close periods.
• Participate in various aspects of change management, improvements, and ad hoc projects.
• Collaborate with a tenured and successful team, working closely with IR, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Deal teams.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience in Private Credit and/or Open-End Fund is highly preferred.
• Background in both Public Accounting and In-House Fund Accounting is preferred.
• Experience overseeing or working with a Fund Administrator is preferred.
