AFO Capital, Ltd. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant Controller to steward the integrity and accuracy of financial records across a multi-entity family-office structure, including individuals, trusts, an investment partnership, a private trust company, a private foundation, and related entities.

You will support financial reporting, audit and tax processes while partnering with the Controller and CFO, and coordinate across Investment, IT, and Legal teams to ensure complete, reliable data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA license.
• Five to ten years of experience in investment or fund accounting, family office, asset management, or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of investment accounting and performance concepts.
• Experience supporting audits and tax reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong internal-control mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage and verify the integrity of financial records across family office clients.
• Oversee transaction accuracy and reconciliations with third-party provider.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Produce accounting records for financial statements, audit workpapers, and tax reporting.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure data quality and reporting reliability.
• Document accounting processes and control frameworks; drive process improvements.
