Job summary

ABL Wholesale Distributors is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee the daily accounting operations and help maintain internal controls. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting and timely close processes, supporting senior leadership with analysis and strategic insights.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of corporate accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and strong analytical and communication skills to coordinate with other departments and ensure

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5-7 years of relevant work experience; corporate accounting experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Responsibilities

Manage the general ledger and month-end and year-end close processes.
Perform routine account analysis and prepare journal entries.
Prepare financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
Supervise daily accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
Order cigarette tax stamps and prepare and submit related tax returns.
Provide backup support for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed.
Analyze and evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements.
