Aims Community College is seeking an Assistant Controller – Capital Infrastructure and Financial System Operations. This senior finance role leads asset management, internal controls, and Workday ERP configuration across capital projects and grants.

You will supervise key accounting staff and ensure GAAP compliance while partnering with leadership on strategic financial planning. The role requires extensive experience in fixed assets, capital accounting, and audit readiness, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Five years of professional accounting experience with supervisory/leadership exposure.
• Proficiency with Windows, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems.

Responsabilités

• Manage and track the financial aspects of capital projects in compliance with standards.
• Oversee fixed assets (land, buildings, infrastructure, equipment, vehicles) and depreciation schedules.
• Lead internal control design and annual asset audits.
• Ensure GAAP alignment (GASB/FASB) for College and Foundation reporting.
• Support Workday-based asset management, grants, and reporting processes.
