Job summary

LHH is seeking an Assistant Controller for a manufacturing company in the Tulsa area. The role involves overseeing all accounting activities, guiding the accounting team, and ensuring accurate month-end close and reporting.

You will manage cash flow, journal entries, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations, while coordinating with banks and maintaining strong internal controls. Strong Excel skills and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a service or manufacturing company.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Excel skills and overall computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities including general ledger, costing, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit.
• Lead, support and provide day-to-day guidance to accounting staff members.
• Daily cash monitoring and analysis to ensure proper cash flow management.
• Create and post all journal entries and related schedules for month-end close.
• Prepare monthly fixed asset depreciation, additions, disposals and transfers.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements.
• Complete related management reporting.
• Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts monthly.
• Interact with banks regarding credit agreements and lines of credit.
• Problem-solve issues within accounting systems.

• Leads, supports and provides day to day guidance of accounting staff members.

• Responsible for creating & posting all journal entries and related schedules for month end close.
• Prepare monthly fixed asset depreciation along with additions, disposals and transfers.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
