Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks an Assistant Controller in Nashua, NH (hybrid) to lead and support a finance team across multiple sites. You will drive monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis while partnering with business units to improve profitability and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities include inventory and fixed assets control, corporate reporting compliance, and coordination with site teams for consistent accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 6–10 years of accounting and finance experience in manufacturing.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Strong Excel and ERP experience.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with site finance teams to collect, validate, and consolidate financial results across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Conduct detailed financial variance analysis and manage KPIs, including cost structures, product margins, and operational metrics, delivering actionable insights to the Business Unit Controller.
• Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and strategic planning processes.
• Manage and control inventory, fixed assets, and accounts receivable.
• Coordinate with site finance teams to drive consistency in accounting practices, reporting, and forecasting across locations.
• Act as a liaison between business unit finance and site teams, ensuring timely communication and alignment on reporting requirements and deadlines.
• Assist in maintaining internal control environment during audits.
• Occasional site visits to global manufacturing locations.

Position: Assistant Controller

Location: Nashua, NH (hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will lead and support a team responsible for financial reporting, manufacturing cost analysis, and business partnership across multiple sites and will accomplish the following:

• Lead the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards
• Collaborate with site finance teams to collect, validate, and consolidate financial results across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Conduct detailed financial variance analysis and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost structures, product margins, and operational metrics, delivering actionable insights to the Business Unit Controller to support cost reduction and profitability improvement.
• Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and strategic planning processes.
• Manage and control inventory, fixed assets, and accounts receivable.
• Manage the input and maintenance of financial data for the business unit in the corporate reporting system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to corporate financial reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with site finance teams to drive consistency in accounting practices, reporting, and forecasting across all locations.
• Act as a key liaison between business unit finance and site teams, ensuring timely communication and alignment on reporting requirements, deadlines and financial expectations.
• Help to maintain our internal control environment through coordination with our site teams during internal and external audits
• Occasional site visits to our global manufacturing locations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, business administration or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• 6–10 years of accounting and finance experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment with direct responsibility for cost accounting, inventory, plant performance, forecasting, and operational business partnership.
• Valid experience in global business

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is required
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong understanding and experience in the application of cost accounting concepts
