Assistant Controller

Location: Irving ,TX

Job Type: Full-Time- Onsite

Summary

The Assistant Controller will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of Inovar Packaging Group. This position is responsible for assisting in the management of accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and contributing to financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, particularly within the labels and packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Support the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed variance analysis and financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies, recommending improvements as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
• Monitor inventory transactions and cost accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and standards, ensuring company compliance.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
