Job summary

Unity Search partners with a solid private equity firm to recruit an Assistant Controller. This role can be mostly remote with meetings from time to time in Dallas, offering exceptional visibility and close collaboration with the Controller and CFO.

You will oversee fund accounting, investor operations, valuations, budgeting and financial analysis, tax/compliance, and continuous process improvements leveraging AI tools to enhance reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• CPA or Chartered Accountant strongly preferred.
• 4–8 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to fund accounting within private equity, asset management, fund of funds, family office, or similar alternatives.
• Strong technical accounting skills in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional finance or accounting context and a genuine curiosity about how emerging technology can be applied to fund accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Highly detailed, growth-oriented, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
