Dexian is seeking an Assistant Controller for a leadership role in Addison, TX. This position oversees multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, and real estate operations within a growing team.

The role requires 6+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in multifamily/property accounting, consolidations, and month-end close. Candidates should have prior supervision experience and a track record of process improvements, acquisitions, and real estate transactions.

Compensation: $140,000–$150,000 base + discretionary bonus

A well-established, privately held multifamily real estate company is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join its growing accounting team. This is an opportunity to take on a leadership role with significant exposure to multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, and real estate operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee the month-end close process across multiple entities and properties.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Support consolidations, audits, and lender/investor reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements and accounting efficiencies.
• Assist with acquisitions, financing activities, and other real estate transactions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Multifamily/property accounting experience required.
• Strong multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience.
• Experience with consolidations and financial reporting.
• Previous management experience overseeing a team of 5+.
• Strong month-end close experience.
• Real estate or property management experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with capital structures, equity reporting, or real estate transactions is a plus.
