Qualifications

  • Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management degree; 1–3 years of experience.
  • Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience prioritized.
  • Experience with Project Schedules / PM Construction Software.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with clean driving record in the last 3 years.

  • Lead all aspects of project administration including navigating state, city, county, federal and local requirements and ensuring compliance, documentation, and safety.
  • Validate project scope, cost, schedule by reviewing contract documents and setting customer expectations.
  • Utilize qualified subcontractors, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and establish communication guidelines for progress, meetings, billing, and safety.
  • Manage all financial aspects including cash flow, forecast, cost at completion, expenses, collections, and backlog reviews.

Assistant Construction Project Manager – West Columbia, SC

The Assistant Construction Project Manager is responsible for execution of smaller turnkey projects including managing financials, administration, implementation, and customer satisfaction. They can take the lead on specific assigned tasks on larger turnkey projects with little oversight. The Assistant Construction Project Manager will manage a portfolio of smaller turnkey projects and ensure that quality standards are maintained.

What you will do:
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
  • Lead all aspects of project administration including responsibility for maneuvering through governing agencies requirements including the state, city, county, federal and local level, and proactively manages projects to business compliance, project documentation, and safety guidelines.
  • Validate project scope, cost, schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings and establishing customer expectations.
  • Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations and project safety.
  • Financially manage all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost / revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and oversee preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
What you will bring:
  • Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management Degree; Combination of degree or 1-3 years of experience.
  • Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
  • Experience with Project Schedules / PM Construction Software.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $58,045.00 - $92,500.00. Compensation Type: Salary. Incentive Eligible: Yes. Sales Commission Eligible: No. Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors. Our compensation range is generally based on the national average for the country.
