Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Position Overview:

Brooksville Advisors supports construction activities at multiple multi-family and mixed-use properties in the NYC Area and currently oversees $50MM in annual capital spends.

The Assistant Construction Project Manager will assist Project Managers and the Vice President of Construction in managing larger projects and will directly oversee smaller projects on a variety of base-building and special projects from design through completion at Spring Creek Towers. Spring Creek Towers is a beautiful urban community situated on a campus of 55 buildings spanning 153 acres of beautifully landscaped fields, parks and tree-lined streets overlooking Jamaica Bay in Brooklyn, NY.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Read and understand architectural/engineering drawings
  • Draft scopes of work and assemble contract documents
  • Assist in the preparation and solicitation of RFPs
  • Generate meeting minutes, RFIs and other essential documents
  • Actively visit and report on construction activities including providing work updates
  • Assist in reviewing, approving, and processing vendor invoices
  • Assist the PM and VP of Construction with budgetary tracking
  • Coordinate contractors’ and sub-contractors’ weekly and forecast schedules
  • Confer with other managers to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes
  • Resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies or other issues that may cause delays
  • Preparation of written communications on technical and non-technical matters for various levels of management
  • Professional interaction with various departments to maintain open lines of communication

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in field construction, construction project management or related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field, (building science, construction management, civil engineering, etc.)
  • Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel specifically) and project management software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and great communication- both in person and via technology
  • Is proactive and focused on continuous improvement, including providing well-thought out solutions
