Job summary

MCFA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Pharma construction in Boone County, Indiana. The role centers on coordinating, executing, and overseeing projects within the pharmaceutical industry, including clean room work and space turnover.

You will support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, site inspections, and subcontractor coordination while maintaining GMP standards and safety. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in pharma construction are preferred.

Experience with technical projects, collaborative contracting teams, and experience as a project engineer, field superintendent or project manager is a plus.


What you'll do:

This role will work closely with the Project Manager in coordinating, executing, and overseeing construction projects within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will successfully manage the construction of clean room spaces as well as oversee the completion and inspection of architectural finishes. Additionally, they will be responsible for punch list oversight and space turnover. Key tasks and typical duties include:



  • assisting in project planning and scheduling to align timelines and resources,

  • monitoring project progress through regular site inspections and status updates,

  • coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services,

  • managing documentation such as contracts, change orders, and progress reports,

  • supporting budget tracking and cost control to avoid overruns,

  • ensuring adherence to safety protocols,

  • regulatory standards,

  • and pharmaceutical-specific requirements (e.g., GMP compliance for clean rooms),

  • facilitating communication between project teams, clients, and stakeholders, and contributing to risk assessment and mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

Who you are:


  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required)

  • Experience:

    • 3-5 Years experience in the Pharma Construction industry

    • 1-2 Years experience with Clean Room Construction




  • Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • Communications: Excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills

  • Possess strong record keeping skills as well as a good sense of coordination and follow through


Annual Paid Time Off:


  • Sick Leave: 5 Days (40 Hours)

  • Vacation: 15 Days (120 Hours)

  • Holidays: 11 Federal Holidays (88 Hours) observed in accordance with mcfa's Holiday Schedule

  • Following your first full quarter worked, you will qualify for a profit-share bonus that is distributed at the end of each quarter if company targets are hit.

  • Incoming Growth Units: 10

  • Growth Unit allotment may increase over time.
