Meritage Homes is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to join our team. You will coordinate trades, schedule phases, and inspect work on site to ensure quality and timeliness.

You will lead safety compliance, coordinate inspectors, and guide warranty activities with buyers throughout the process. The role requires understanding of home construction, ability to read plans, and experience in supervisory or project oversight.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory or project oversight experience in residential construction.
• Fundamental understanding of home construction processes and codes.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, and inspect trades and phases of residential construction.
• Enforce safety and construction standards with subcontractors and workers.
• Walk homes daily to monitor progress and verify deliveries; raise concerns as needed.
• Coordinate inspectors and site reviews with city and utilities.
• Lead pre/post closing buyer orientations and supervise warranty work.
• Prepare punch lists and manage subcontractors to complete items.
• Collaborate with Construction Manager, Customer Care, and Sales to meet schedules and quality goals.
