Job Summary

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in daily operations, including leasing, resident relations, and financial record-keeping. In their absence, they act as the Community Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in advertising, showing units, screening applicants, and maintaining rental data.
  • Develop creative leasing and marketing strategies.
  • Communicate courteously with residents, prospects, and partners.
  • Process applications, conduct credit checks, and manage renewals.
  • Handle rent payments, lease documentation, and input data into Yardi system.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests, ensure repairs are completed satisfactorily, and maintain community appearance.
  • Assist with legal proceedings, invoice processing, and resident files.
  • Support community policies and legal compliance.
Requirements
  • Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work weekends.
  • Apartment management experience preferred.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of college preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Walk the property in various weather conditions.
