Job summary

MidPen Housing Corp. is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for Sunset Creek and Sunset Pines in California. You will support daily property operations, including fiscal management, compliance, facilities, risk management, and resident relations.

You will report to the Community Manager and assist with rent collection, certifications, and family services coordination, while maintaining confidential resident records and collaborating with the Resident Services team.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and one year of residential property management, customer service or admin experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office and/or RealPage software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service with measurable outcomes.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules income verification appointments, prepares and processes lease agreements and maintains housing wait list.
  • Assists in the completion of re-certifications, welfare exemption documents, MOR and TCAC reviews.
  • Issues notices, schedules vacancies, prepares and monitors turnover forms.
  • Assists in the collection of rents, completion of security deposits, logs petty cash use and bank deposits.
  • Inspects property and identifies maintenance and security issues.
  • Supports working relationships with local law enforcement and emergency agencies.
  • Coordinates maintenance inspections with facilities staff and ensures work orders are processed in a timely manner.
  • Maintains resident and property files with confidentiality.
  • Communicates emergency procedures to residents and coordinates logistics for resident meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Assistant Community Manager

The Property Management teamis responsible foroperatingand maintaining our beautiful communities, but beyond that, they are relationship builders and the heart and soul ofMidPen. Property Management works closely with our residents, our community partners, and their fellowMidPenners, including close collaboration with our Resident Services team.

As the Assistant Community Manager, you will report to the Community Manager.You’llbe responsible forsupporting the daily operations of the property, including key areas of responsibility like fiscal management, compliance, facilities, risk management, and resident relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects property andidentifiesmaintenance and security issues
  • Supports working relationships with local law enforcement and emergency agencies
  • Coordinates maintenance inspections with facilities staff and ensures work orders are processedin a timely manner
  • Maintains resident and property files without compromising confidential information
  • Communicates proceduresregardingemergency preparedness to residents and coordinateslogisticsfor resident meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • This role primarily involves desk-based computer work with frequent sitting. Occasional physical activity includes standing, walking, reaching overhead, filing, and lifting or moving items up to 15 pounds. Rarely, the position may require bending, squatting, or kneeling.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED and one year of residential property management, customer service or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Pay Range:

$21.15 - $23.80 Hourly - Pay based on applicable experience and qualifications
