JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This role supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the community. Responsibilities include completing accounting and bookkeeping tasks, preparing financial reports, processing invoices, collecting rent and fees, bank deposits, account reconciliations, and utilizing property management software to track and report financial activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Complete daily financial transactions: collect and post rent, fees, prepare bank deposits, reconcile accounts, and process invoices.
  2. Operate property management software (Yardi/OneSite) accurately, ensuring data integrity through updates and backups.
  3. Review resident files and accounting records to identify unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
  4. Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper approval, coding, and communication with relevant parties.
  5. Follow established procedures for evictions, including notices, court representation, and legal compliance.
  6. Manage resident move-outs by reviewing lease terms, applying fees, and processing dispositions.
  7. Promote resident satisfaction by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues.
  8. Act as on-site supervisor in the absence of the Community Manager, delegating tasks and coordinating maintenance.
  9. Assist in managing owner relationships through meetings, community tours, and performance updates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined spaces.
  • Work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and wind.
  • Lift weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Travel may be required for property support, training, or meetings.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
