$24-$35/hour

Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday 9am-6pm

About The Position

The Assistant Community Manager assists in daily operations, supporting the Community Manager to ensure optimal performance in leasing, marketing, compliance, accounting, and resident satisfaction. Experience with tax credit housing is preferred.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in all aspects of community operations.
  • Handle accounting tasks like rent collection, posting, and month-end processes, collaborating with the Accounting Department.
  • Update Yardi and related software promptly.
  • Support marketing efforts, including social media, reputation management, advertising, and community events.
  • Engage with prospective residents, conduct tours, and guide them through application and move-in processes.
  • Administer lease agreements, renewals, screening, and legal notices ensuring compliance.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and resolve issues promptly, working with Resident Relations.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Participate in resident events and community programs.
  • Assist with tax credit compliance, monitoring rents, move-ins, and re-certifications.
  • Act as onsite supervisor when needed.
  • Complete reports as directed, maintaining communication with the Community Manager.
  • Report incidents and injuries timely, documenting all details.
  • Maintain relationships with local housing authorities.
  • Implement new systems and procedures and use company technology appropriately.
  • Follow policies and work collaboratively.
  • Stay updated on industry and legal trends.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years in property management, including leasing.
  • Operational and leasing skills required.
  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing and applicable regulations.
  • LIHTC program knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office and property management software like Yardi.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18+ and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Successful background check and drug screening required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
