JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Supports and assists the Community Manager in overseeing and managing the financial and operational facets of the community by completing accounting and bookkeeping tasks, preparing monthly close-out and financial reports, processing invoices for payment, collecting rent, fees, and other payments, completing bank deposits, dispositions, and account reconciliations, and using the property management software to record, track, and report on all financial workings of the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Completes daily transactions related to the community's financial operations, including rent collection, bank deposits, and financial reporting.
  2. Operates property management software (Yardi/OneSite) accurately, ensuring system integrity through updates and backups.
  3. Reviews resident files and accounts to identify unpaid or late fees, communicates with residents, and enforces lease terms to maximize revenue.
  4. Processes vendor invoices, ensuring proper reconciliation, approval, coding, and communication.
  5. Follows procedures for evictions, including notices, court representation, and legal compliance.
  6. Handles resident move-outs, applying deposits and fees according to lease terms and legal requirements.
  7. Responds promptly to resident inquiries and complaints to promote satisfaction and retention.
  8. Acts as on-site supervisor in the absence of the community manager, organizing daily work and coordinating maintenance.
  9. Assists in managing owner relationships through meetings, community tours, and performance updates.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Lift and maneuver weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Travel may be required for property support, training, or meetings.
  • Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
