Role Overview

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in financial and administrative operations, including rental collections, deposits, and overseeing accounting functions. They may also lead the community in the absence of the Community Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist leasing efforts and lease apartments as needed
  • Manage rental collections and financial records
  • Coordinate with managers to improve community performance
  • Conduct market surveys and adjust pricing strategies
  • Maintain resident files and generate reports
  • Handle notices, evictions, and collections
  • Address resident concerns and perform administrative duties
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance
Qualifications
  • BA/BS or relevant experience in business, sales, or related field
  • Strong collections and accounting skills
  • Experience with Onsite/Rent Roll preferred
  • 1+ years in property management preferred
  • Supervisory and leasing experience advantageous
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
  • Walking, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment, and hazardous materials
  • Comfort with heights and heavy objects
