Job summary

Allied Residential in Seattle is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager and ensure smooth daily operations and strong financial performance.

You will engage with residents, prospects, and the team, handling leasing, rent collection, problem-solving, and property inspections in a hands-on role that keeps the community running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Six months to one year of related property management or leasing experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Yardi or RealPage experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret graphs and percentages.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in both office and property environments, including inspections and varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Community Manager in overseeing all aspects of community operations.
  • Show apartments, explain lease terms, and highlight amenities.
  • Process leases, deposits, and rental payments.
  • Respond to resident concerns including maintenance and service issues.
  • Inspect vacant units for repair needs.
  • Supervise staff and participate in meetings and trainings.

Position Summary

As an Assistant Community Manager, you'll be the right-hand partner to the Community Manager, helping ensure smooth daily operations, top-notch resident satisfaction, and strong financial performance. You'll be on the front lines with residents, prospects, and the team-handling everything from leasing and rent collection to problem-solving and property inspections-while keeping the community running like a well-oiled machine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Community Manager in overseeing all aspects of community operations.
  • Show apartments to prospective residents, explain lease terms, and highlight community amenities.
  • Provide information on local schools, shopping, recreation, and transportation options.
  • Process lease agreements, collect deposits, and manage rental payments.
  • Respond to and resolve resident concerns, including maintenance, utilities, and service issues.
  • Inspect vacant units to identify repair and maintenance needs.
  • Step in to manage community issues in the absence of the Community Manager.
  • Attend and actively participate in regular meetings and training sessions.
  • Supervise community employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
  • Six months to one year of related property management or leasing experience, or equivalent education and training.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with Yardi or RealPage highly preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and to interpret graphs and percentages.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in both office and property environments, including unit inspections in varying weather conditions.
  • Capacity to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds, navigate stairs, and walk varied terrain.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive wage based on experience.
  • This position is eligible for property‑specific incentive programs. Bonus structures vary by ownership group and may include occupancy‑based incentives, lease‑up bonuses, financial performance bonuses, or annual performance‑based awards. Eligibility and bonus criteria are determined by the ownership group of the assigned property.
  • 152 hours (19 days) PTO annually, plus carry-over up to 120 hours and longevity PTO at 6 and 10 years.
  • 9 paid holidays.
  • Comprehensive health benefits-including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability-effective the 1st of the month after 60 days (Kaiser Permanente, Guardian, Mutual of Omaha).
