Job description

Position Summary

The Assistant Community Manager supports the efficient and profitable operation of the residential community.

Essential Functions
  1. Tax Credit experience required.
  2. Maintain a professional image in all aspects of work, including personal habits, demeanor, and attire. Adhere to company standards on conduct and attendance. Model the company's Mission and Foundations.
  3. Demonstrate good communication skills and ensure effective communication with residents, community, agencies, owners, and team members. Provide high levels of customer service.
  4. Report any concerns to the Community Manager.
  5. Perform administrative tasks such as typing, filing, and related functions.
  6. Answer phones professionally and promptly, recording and forwarding messages appropriately.
  7. Show available units to applicants following established safety procedures.
  8. Conduct landlord references and background checks.
  9. Understand the financial implications of job duties and act accordingly.
  10. Perform the duties of the Community Manager in their absence.
  11. Prepare leases and re-certification documents.
  12. Follow all health and safety requirements.
  13. Collect and record rental payments.
  14. Address resident complaints promptly and work to resolve issues.
  15. Handle maintenance requests and maintain records.
  16. Inspect the property regularly.
  17. Purchase maintenance and administrative supplies as directed.
  18. Perform other duties as necessary.
