Position Overview

As an Assistant Community Manager at Ashford Communities, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our communities' operations and day-to-day management. Your primary goal will be to support the Property Manager in providing excellent customer service, maintaining high occupancy rates, and ensuring the overall success of our properties. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to strategic planning, team management, and property performance improvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager in leasing activities, including conducting property tours, and assisting with lease agreements.
  • Oversee resident relations, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective strategies to attract new residents.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of resident events and community initiatives.
  • Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and maintain the property's appearance and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Assist in preparing and managing budgets, financial reports, and leasing documentation.

  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capability to effectively manage a team.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in using property management software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Natural desire to be competitive, initiative-taking, and have a high level of GRIT to stay passionate, motivated, and engaged.
  • Influenced by the ability to serve our residents and have additional earning potential based on property performance-based bonuses based on the property's success and Net Operating Income (NOI).

Experience Preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or a similar role, preferably as an Assistant Manager.
  • Familiarity with property management software and CRM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Bilingual in both English & Spanish – plus!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
