The Southern Land Company is seeking a full-time Assistant Community Manager in Northglenn, CO to oversee daily property operations and resident services. You will manage rent postings, lease paperwork, renewals, and reporting while supervising staff in the absence of the Community Manager, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction with a focus on confidentiality and organization.

This role requires hands-on leadership in a multifamily setting and a commitment to exceptional resident

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years’ experience as an assistant manager.
  • 3 years’ experience in property management.
  • Fair Housing training completed.
  • CAM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily, weekly, and month-end reporting on resident ledgers.
  • Post rent, collect delinencies, process evictions, and finalize move-out statements.
  • Secure lease renewals and prepare new lease paperwork.
  • Inspect property daily and ensure standards are met.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and staff supervision.
  • Monitor resident satisfaction and competitor knowledge.
  • Oversee operations in Community Manager’s absence and assist leasing.
  • Support resident events and lease-related duties.

Position Summary

Southern Land Company, a national real estate development and construction firm is seeking a full-time Assistant Community Manager to join our dynamic team in Northglenn, CO.

Arden Karl’s Farm is offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing world class customer service. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. The candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail. Professional standard of appearance and week-end hours required. The salary range for this role is $57K-$60K based on experience.

Arden Karl’s Farm, located on E 121st Ave, is a collection of multifamily residences at the Karl’s Farm Development that features 385 townhomes – ranging from studios, one, two, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Arden Karl’s Farm features best-in-class upscale amenities, including a resort-style pool and spa, dog park, fitness center, yoga studio, outdoor dining room and gas grills, and bike storage.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assists with daily, weekly, and month-end reporting including accurate reporting on resident ledgers.
  • Responsible for posting rent, collection on delinquency, the eviction process, final accounting statements after resident(s) move out, creating/posting Pos and daily deposits.
  • Secures and manages lease renewals and prepares new lease paperwork for final approval.
  • Physically walks and inspects community daily addressing any issues and verifying that property conditions meet company standards.
  • Assists with hiring and training of new staff members.
  • Monitors resident satisfaction through various methods of communication and surveys.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of area competitors.
  • Oversees property operations and staff when Community Manager is not on property.
  • Assists with leasing duties, including touring prospective residents and preparation of lease agreements as needed.
  • Assists with hosting resident appreciation events.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Yardi products.
  • Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on the phone and in person.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience as an assistant manager
  • 3 years’ experience in property management
  • Fair Housing training
  • CAM certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Bookkeeping/account reconciliation experience
  • Property management experience with focus on lease-up and mixed-use communities
  • Experience with YARDI
