Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities in Denton, TX is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support daily property operations and financial management. You will help residents find homes, manage leasing, and ensure superb customer service across all touchpoints with the community team.

The role emphasizes team leadership, accurate financial procedures, and maintaining the brand’s standards while promoting a safe and welcoming living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing people in property management or customer service environments.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing the community in the most efficient and profitable manner, aligned with company goals.
• Coach and develop members of the property team while upholding safety and brand values.
• Monitor and audit accounting procedures for rent collection and other financial tasks; generate monthly closing reports.
• Oversee leasing and move-in/move-out processes to ensure smooth transitions for residents.
• Deliver high levels of resident satisfaction through responsive, positive, and professional interactions.
• Attend and assist with resident events as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with managing the community in the most efficient and profitable manner possible, consistent with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Managing, coaching and developing members of the property team.Living and promoting Balfour Beatty’s values—most notably safety—across all operations.
• Monitoring and auditing accounting procedures for rent collection and other financial tasks; generating monthly closing reports.

Who We're Looking For

• Qualified candidates will have three (3) or more years of experience managing people in property management or another customer service-oriented environment.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree.
• Possession of a valid, state-issued driver’s license and safe driving record is also required.
