The Sun Belt Conference is seeking an energetic, innovative, and detail-oriented professional to serve as Assistant Commissioner for Broadcast Operations. The Assistant Commissioner will work closely with conference staff, ESPN, member institutions, production vendors, and freelance personnel to enhance the quality and consistency of live-event productions while helping develop new programming and production workflows. This position plays a key role in supporting conference broadcast initiatives by assisting with championship productions, member institution broadcast operations, original studio programming, and conference-wide production standards.

Broadcast Operations

• Assist in coordinating conference broadcast operations across all sports.
• Support production planning for conference championships and special events.
• Help maintain Conference production standards and operational manuals.
• Conduct production quality reviews and provide feedback to member institutions.
• Assist schools with technical and operational questions related to ESPN+ productions.
• Coordinate production schedules and communication with member institutions.
• Support the implementation of new broadcast technologies and workflows.
• Assist with game-day production planning and troubleshooting when needed.

Studio Programming & Original Content

• Produce and coordinate conference studio programming and original digital content.
• Develop production schedules, rundowns, and show logistics.
• Work collaboratively with the communications and creative services departments on original programming.
• Assist in developing new content concepts that promote the conference and its student-athletes.

Championship & Special Event Productions

• Assist with broadcast planning for conference championships.
• Coordinate production vendors and freelance personnel.
• Support setup and execution of live productions.
• Ensure consistent production standards across championship events.
• Assist with onsite event operations as assigned.

Member Institution Support

• Serve as a resource for member schools regarding broadcast operations and production best practices.
• Assist in planning and conducting annual broadcast training workshops.
• Develop educational resources and documentation for production staffs.
• Evaluate emerging production technologies and recommend best practices for conference use.
