Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join WiseEnergy’s Commercial & ESG team to refine our renewable energy asset management services and systems. We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst / Assistant Commercial Manager to strengthen our UK team, build efficiencies and transform ways of working. Each day will be different from managing SPV revenues, contracts and client interaction through to insurance renewals and claims management, alongside providing regulatory support and ESG delivery to assets in the UK.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Management of energy sales (Power Purchase Agreements) with off-takers and UK government incentive schemes (e.g. ROC / FIT).
  • Contract management e.g. renewals, tendering, issuing notices, obligations, etc. related to individual solar farm companies (SPA, Lease, PPA, O&M, EPC, etc) and understanding of lender requirements associated with contracts.
  • Supporting management of regulatory audits
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual client reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, social, governance (ESG) and community relations obligations and requirements.
  • Management of land lease agreements and relationships with landlords.
  • Development and population of relevant information on to the company’s in-house asset management platform (AMP)
  • Asset onboarding
  • Ad hoc domestic travel in the UK, as required.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Time management & prioritization skills - the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical.
  • Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - you must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling.
  • Flexibility - being an effective team player means being flexible in your approach and open to getting involved with new things.
  • Intellectual Curiosity - we are looking for someone who is truly interested in our profession and has the intellectual curiosity to delve deep into topics.
  • IT Literacy - you need to be comfortable with IT systems and working with data (at least intermediate-level Excel).
  • Delivery focus – the ability to proactively churn through work at pace and deliver quality outputs really matters!
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for our mission – to generate a more sustainable future by leading the transition to clean energy.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to degree level (economics, social sciences, law are good backgrounds for the role).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in renewable energy space (preferably Solar)
  • The right to work in the UK.
