Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a friendly, client-focused colorist assistant to join our San Francisco salon. You’ll support colorists, prep stations, and help ensure every guest leaves feeling beautiful and confident.

You’ll learn color techniques, assist with shampoo and blowouts, and keep the color bar tidy. A valid cosmetology license and 1+ year beauty experience are required.

POS experience and strong multitasking in a fast-paced setting help you shine; weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed cosmetologist in the state you apply.
• 1+ year beauty service/salon/spa experience; sales experience a plus.
• Experience and passion for hair color.
• POS (Point of Sale) experience.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Colorists with shampoo, blowouts, and color-bar maintenance.

What You Will Need

• Are you a licensed cosmetologist in the state you are applying to work in?
• 1+ year working in beauty service/salon/spa experience, sales experience highly desired.
• Experience and passion for hair color.
• Computer Skills POS (Point of Sale) experience.
• Ability to multitask in a fast pace environment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will regularly stand/walk for 4 consecutive hours or more at a time; regularly bend and twist at the waist, manipulate fingers and hands, bend wrists and arms, reach with hands and arms, speak, see, hear, and lift/move up to 3 pounds. May on occasion sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds.
