Job summary

FP Movement is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support color execution from concept to production. You will manage lab dips, organize seasonal color submits, and maintain clear cross-functional communication to keep the calendar on track.

Reporting to the Color Designer, you will ensure accurate color approval processes, support color presentation boards, and coordinate with Design, Print & Pattern, Merchandising, and overseas vendors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or a strong internship in color or textile product development.
• Excellent color perception and a strong eye for detail. Must pass Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Color Vision Test.
• Highly system-driven with the ability to manage hundreds of submits.
• Experience evaluating lab dips and vendor communication.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and PLM or similar software.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of collaborating in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Log, date, and organize all incoming seasonal lab dips, knit-downs, strike-offs, and trim submits.
• Maintain and organize the color library and season archives.
• Prepare and distribute physical color rings and swatches to internal teams.
• Update PLM systems daily with color codes, names, and statuses.
