Job description

Overview: Quinnipiac University Athletics seeks an Assistant Coach, Women's Volleyball to assist in program management of the Division I volleyball program including on-court coaching and statistical analysis during games. You will aid in operational functions and administrative tasks such as coordinating team travel and meals, administrative tasks and scheduling. You will also work as the liaison with team’s athletic academic support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, MAAC, and NCAA rules and regulations
  • Coach student-athletes, maintaining a safe and challenging environment that will challenge and develop the physical, mental, and personal abilities of student athletes
  • Assist in program management of on-court coaching and statistical analysis during games
  • Assist in team operational functions such as administrative duties, coordinating team travel, meals, and scheduling
  • Liaison with team’s athletic academic support staff
  • Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned)
  • Extensive weekend travel and supervision is required
  • Other duties, as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Qualifications:

  • Proven aptitude for coaching as illustrated by a strong work ethic, organizational skills and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the national Volleyball community
  • Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
