The assistant women's soccer coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with the direction and organization of the Owens Community College women's soccer program. Essential Functions: Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the collegiate sports program. Teaches sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics. Supervises and conducts practices and contests safely, supervising locker rooms and buses. Assists the head coach in carrying out their responsibilities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations. Demonstrative soccer skills. Oral and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with the players and other coaches. Ability to contribute to the overall positive student-athlete experience that includes practice sessions, games and travel. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) Preferred Requirements: High school/club or equivalent coaching experience preferred. Collegiate coaching experience or collegiate playing experience preferred. Job Classification: Staff Duty Days: 260 Days Work Schedule: As required by practice and game schedule. Grant Funded Position: No - Not Grant Funded FLSA Status: United States of America (Non-Exempt) Pay Basis: Period Activity Pay Hiring Range $12.46-$14.02 Retirement System: SERS - SERS (Retirement System Classification)
