Stanford Women's Rowing is seeking an Assistant Coach to support on-water instruction, student-athlete development, and recruiting under the Head Coach. This fixed-term role is based on Stanford's main campus in California and requires leadership in program operations.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of coaching, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel/G-Suite as well as Instagram and Twitter. A valid CA driver’s license is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years collegiate or professional coaching experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with student-athletes, peers and the general public.
  • Computer literacy with Word, Excel, and G-Suite applications.
  • Ability to navigate and manage Instagram and Twitter accounts.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff across departments and university community.
  • Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibiting a sincere interest in the emotional, social and academic development of student-athletes
  • Teaching on water sport-specific skills to develop student-athletes
  • Identifying and recruiting academically qualified student-athletes
  • Coordinating recruiting efforts in line with NCAA guidelines and University standards
  • Assisting in planning and transporting student-athletes to competitions
  • Overseeing equipment transportation and maintenance
  • Maintaining professional standards and NCAA compliance
  • Assisting with summer programming and recruitment exams
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Head Coach

The Assistant Coach, Women’s Rowing will perform administrative duties, on-water instructional education, and support in recruiting efforts under the direction of the Head Coach of the Stanford Women's Rowing program. This position a fixed -termed based on the Stanford main campus. ,on-waterwith programming

Your Responsibilities Include
  • Exhibiting a sincere interest in the emotional, social and academic development of student-athletes
  • Teaching on water sport-specific skills to develop student-athletes
  • Demonstrating cooperative behavior in pursuing program goals
  • Identifying and recruiting academically qualified student-athletes
  • Following NCAA guidelines and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts
  • Assisting in the planning and transportation of student-athletes to competitions
  • Arranging transportation for student-athletes to practices
  • Facilitating the transportation of equipment to competitions
  • Assisting with equipment maintenance and upkeep
  • Displaying leadership and professional behavior in developing student-athletes
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a good working relationship with programming all members of DAPER
  • Applying the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, Conference, and University regulations
  • Assisting in the management and instruction of summer programing
  • Passing the NCAA recruiting exam on an annual basis
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach of Stanford Women’s Rowing or their designee
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
