Job summary

Northampton Community College's Department of Athletics has an immediate opening for an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. This is a part-time stipend position with no benefits.

You will assist the head coach in coordinating all aspects of the NJCAA Division III program, including recruitment, game and practice planning, and facility preparation. The ideal candidate will have Associate degree (preferred), collegiate coaching experience, and a proven ability to recruit student-athletes while

• Associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.
• Collegiate coaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes and develop programs.
• Flexibility to travel for away games throughout the season.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in coordinating all aspects of the NJCAA Division III women’s basketball program.
• Recruit and retain team members and plan games and practices.
• Support facility preparation and administrative tasks for the program.
• Promote academic success and NJCAA compliance among student-athletes.

This is a part-time stipend position with no benefits.Job Description:Northampton seeks a dynamic, high-achieving, individual to help coordinate all aspects of its NJCAA Division III women's basketball program. Duties to include working in conjunction with the head coach on all aspects of the program, including recruitment and retention of team members, game and practice planning and support with facility preparation. The preferred candidate will have a commitment to academic success and NJCAA compliance along with a strong ability to relate to student-athletes. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the college and community. The ability to work respectfully and effectively in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff as well as communicating effectively to employees/staff and community organizations.Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree from a regionally accredited College or University preferred, collegiate coaching experience and a demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes and develop successful programs.
