Job description

The Assistant Coach (WAGE) supports specific aspects of the Division II sport program, including but not limited to: student-athlete recruitment, practice preparation, and player development.

  • Women's Lacrosse

  • Softball
  • Tennis

  • Cross Country/Track & Field

Wage Faculty and all associated personnel actions are governed by the EVPP and policy PROV-026: Faculty Wage Employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Attend practices and support player conditioning
  2. Participate actively in practices
  3. Support student-athletes' academic experience
  4. Create a positive and productive environment
  5. Travel to away games and attend home games
  6. Track game and practice statistics
  7. Communicate effectively and appropriately
  8. Maintain confidentiality of records and information
  9. Provide feedback to coaches about players and teams
  10. Assist with facility setup and cleanup before/after practices
  11. Offer guidance and information to athletes about the game and play
  12. Provide encouragement and support
  13. Help organize team practices and games
  14. Communicate with Head Coaches regarding issues or concerns
  15. Assist with office duties as assigned
  16. Learn sport-specific techniques and strategies as instructed
  17. Manage social media accounts and create graphics to promote the program
  18. Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred

Experience: None required

Licensure: None required

The role may require occasional travel to attend meetings and events.
