Assistant Coach - Volleyball Assistant Boys

All Assistant Coaches are required to complete the following training before working with athletes:

• Background check
• Safety Course (every other year)
• First Aid/CPR/AED Training

Job Goal: To assist the head coach in meeting the criteria for a successful program.

Performance Responsibilities

• Year-round
• Understand and follow rules and regulations as presented by the KHSAA.
• Stay updated on all rules and rule changes.
• Assist the head coach with responsibilities.
• Seasonal duties include registration, equipment issuance, and team management.
• Meet with the team to discuss rules and regulations, emphasizing Athletic Guidelines.
• Care for equipment and facilities.
• Supervise athletes and teams as assigned.
• Attend practice sessions regularly.
• Apply discipline positively and firmly.
• Prioritize safety and injury prevention.
• Conduct oneself ethically during contests and practices.
• Assist with equipment return, storage, and inventory after the season.
• Additional duties such as scouting may be assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Athletic Director, or Principal.
