Assistant Coach Open Pool Posting (Womens Track) - Fitchburg State University

This posting is for an Open Pool position. There may or may not be available openings at this time. Please contact the head coach to inquire about current openings. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will select from the pool of applicants on file.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the head coach in providing leadership, organization, and supervision of the women's track program.
• Support organizing the program in alignment with Fitchburg State University's mission and the Athletics Department's philosophy.
• Develop knowledge of and comply with NCAA, MASCAC, or other conference rules regarding recruiting, eligibility, and sport-specific regulations.
• Maintain current knowledge of sport rules and updates.
• Assist with practice planning, contest management, recruiting, fundraising, and other duties as assigned by the head coach.
• Keep records of hours worked to comply with FLSA regulations.
• Conduct oneself ethically during practices and competitions, promoting appropriate behavior among team members.
• Represent the program at department meetings and functions in the absence of the head coach.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• College playing and coaching experience in women's track.
• Understanding of sport rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III philosophy, recruiting, and regulations.
