Assistant Coach Open Pool Posting (Womens Basketball) - Fitchburg State University

This posting is an open pool position. There may or may not be available openings at this time. Please contact the head coach to inquire about current openings. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will select from the pool of applicants on file.

To assist the head coach in providing leadership, organization, and supervision of the women's basketball team, supporting the mission of Fitchburg State University and the Athletics Department philosophy.

1. Develop knowledge of and abide by NCAA, MASCAC, or other affiliated conference rules regarding recruiting, eligibility, and sport-specific regulations.
2. Maintain knowledge of current game rules and updates.
3. Assist with practice planning, contest management, recruiting, fundraising, and other responsibilities as directed by the head coach.
4. Keep records of hours worked to comply with FLSA regulations.
5. Conduct oneself ethically during practices and games, promoting appropriate behavior among team members.
6. Represent the program at department meetings and functions in the absence of the head coach.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• College playing and coaching experience in women's basketball.

Additional Information
