JOB SUMMARY:

Develops and administers strength and conditioning programs for assigned Olympic sports programs. Assists the Assistant AD for Olympic Sports Performance with program operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

60% - Essential - Program Development and Implementation: Develops year-round strength and conditioning programs for Olympic sports programs. Provides instruction to student-athletes relative to proper strength and conditioning techniques and physical and mental development with goals of safety and optimal athletic performance. Measures performance and provides feedback to student-athletes. Collaborates with sport coaches and support staff to ensure programming and goals are applicable to individual student-athletes. Assists with other Olympic sports programs as a primary assistant to the head performance coach.

25% - Essential - Program Management: Assists the Assistant AD for Olympic Sports Performance with all aspects of the sports performance program. Assists in overseeing the scheduling and daily operations of the sports performance center. Manages operations assigned by the Assistant AD for Olympic Sports Performance with limited oversight. Assists the Assistant AD for Olympic Sports Performance with all aspects of the sports performance program. Assists the full time staff with scheduling and daily operations of the sports performance center. Manages operations assigned by the Assistant AD for Olympic

10% - Essential - Compliance and Safety: Ensures compliance with University, NCAA, and ACC rules, regulations and policies and procedures. Provides a safe environment in which student-athletes can train. Ensures facility and equipment meet applicable standards of safety. Enforces policies and procedures developed to ensure the safety of individuals training in the facility.

5% - Essential - Recruiting: Communicates the programmatic offerings within the Olympic Sport Strength and Conditioning program to prospective student-athletes during visits to the Clemson University campus.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience - 3+ years

Licenses & Certifications - CSCCA-SCCC or NSCA-CSCS

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree

Compensation Information

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Essential Personnel Level

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
