  • Background check
  • Safety Course (every other year)
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Training

Job Goal

To assist the head coach in achieving a successful program.

Performance Responsibilities
  1. Year-round
    • Understanding and knowledge of rules and regulations of the sport as presented by the KHSAA.
    • Stay updated on all rules and changes.
    • Assist the head coach in responsibilities.
  2. Seasonal
    • Assist with athlete registration and equipment issuance.
    • Meet with squad to discuss rules, emphasizing Athletic Guidelines.
    • Care for equipment and facilities.
    • Supervise athletes and teams as needed.
    • Attend practice sessions regularly.
    • Apply discipline positively and firmly.
    • Prioritize safety and injury prevention.
    • Conduct oneself ethically during contests and practices.
  3. End of Season
    • Assist with equipment return, storage, and inventory.
    • Other duties as assigned, such as scouting opponents.
  4. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Assistant Principal for Athletics, or Principal.
