Job description

The Assistant Coach will help the Head Coach coordinate all phases of a competitive NJCAA Division I swimming program. This includes, but is not limited to coaching, recruiting, budget management, travel management, rules and eligibility compliance, administrative duties, departmental fundraising, meet management, academic advising, marketing, promotions, and public relations. The Assistant Coach will be provided with room & board.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive team vans to and from practices and meets.
  • Order and receive meals during travel, breaks, and meets.
  • Lead a designated group during practice to ensure smooth and effective sessions.
  • Demonstrate comfort and confidence in coaching abilities across all training environments.
  • Assist in managing and creating content for team social media platforms.
  • Engage in the recruiting process and take lead of campus visits.
  • Support decisions, maintain professionalism, and work as a united front with the head coach.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years coaching experience or equivalent experience
  • Ability to pass a background check, have a current license, and a good driving record
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Collegiate coaching experience
  • Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction)
  • Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid)
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
