Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist in planning, organizing, and executing preseason and season practices and contests.
  2. Evaluate athlete performance and progress to ensure peak performance.
  3. Oversee mental and physical preparation of athletes; assist in developing conditioning programs.
  4. Scout opponents, evaluate their performance, and recommend game strategies.
  5. Participate in recruiting prospective student athletes, evaluating their athletic and academic abilities, and presenting recruits for final selection.
  6. Assist in planning alumni events, fundraising, and other functions.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with knowledge of NCAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of effective coaching techniques and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment and establish effective relationships with school stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, instruction, budgeting, and monitoring academic progress.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Weekend and evening hours required.
