Job Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing preseason and season practices and contests.
- Evaluate athlete performance and progress to ensure peak performance.
- Oversee mental and physical preparation of athletes; assist in developing conditioning programs.
- Scout opponents, evaluate their performance, and recommend game strategies.
- Participate in recruiting prospective student athletes, evaluating their athletic and academic abilities, and presenting recruits for final selection.
- Assist in planning alumni events, fundraising, and other functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and one year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with knowledge of NCAA regulations.
- Knowledge of effective coaching techniques and best practices.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment and establish effective relationships with school stakeholders.
- Ability to manage all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, instruction, budgeting, and monitoring academic progress.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Weekend and evening hours required.
