Assistant Coach, Men's and Women's Diving

Job Description: Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Men's & Women's Diving position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and part of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program includes 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes participating in NCAA Division I.

This position reports to both the Head Coach of Men’s Swimming & Diving and the Head Coach of Women’s Swimming & Diving. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, and administrative tasks such as coordinating training, team travel, and compliance documentation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One to three years coaching experience at club, high school, or college level; collegiate coaching preferred

Job Competencies:

  • Ability to recruit within NCAA and Ivy League rules
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to work well with students
  • Technical, tactical, and strategic knowledge of the sport
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Proficiency in MS Office, internet, and email; social media experience helpful
  • Familiarity with FrontRush, Teamworks, or similar software preferred
  • Experience with video editing software beneficial
  • Passion for coaching and supporting student-athletes

All employees must pass background and DMV checks and adhere to NCAA, Ivy League, and university rules and regulations. Ongoing NCAA rules education and certifications such as AED/CPR and First Aid are required.
