The NCAA is seeking an Assistant Cross Country/Track Coach who will support the head coach in managing the program and developing student-athletes in a collegiate setting. This role includes responsibilities like logistics, recruiting, and public relations, emphasizing a commitment to NCAA regulations.
Assists the head coach with all aspects of the cross country/track program including home meet management, travel logistics, maintaining countable athletically-related activity (CARA) logs and practice schedules, maintaining social media accounts, practices and conditioning, player development, recruiting, public relations, and supporting the academic development and graduation of student-athletes. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Proven record of successful cross country/track coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level. Education and experience necessary to perform all the functions of a Division I Assistant Cross Country/Track Coach. Commitment to adhere to NCAA and OVC rules and regulations as well as University policies and procedures.
Beyond meeting minimum requirements, candidates will be evaluated in terms of how their experience and education have prepared them for Division I assistant coaching including the academic development and graduation of student-athletes, promoting the welfare of student-athletes, recruiting, practice, conditioning, player and public relations, and fundraising. Coaching philosophy must complement the philosophy of the head coach.
