Job summary

Paterson Public Schools is seeking two Assistant Track Coaches for the fall sports season at John F. Kennedy High School. Candidates must hold a New Jersey Teacher's or Substitute Teacher Certificate and have CPR and AED certifications. Coaching experience is preferred but not mandatory. The position requires daily availability during the season and completion of health-related certifications.

• Must obtain annual concussion and heat acclimatization certificates.

Qualifications and Requirements

• New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder

• Must be certified in CPR and AED, with current certificates in both
• Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually
• Must obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually
• All new coaches will have one year to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid"
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
