A leading school district is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the head coach in running athletic programs. This role includes training implementation, student mentorship, and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies. The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Educator License, possess strong communication skills, and work collaboratively with students and staff. Previous coaching experience is beneficial but not required.
Professional Educator License, Educator License with Stipulations for Paraprofessional – ELS (PARA), Substitute (SUB license must be registered in DuPage County), or NFHS certification
Previous experience preferred, but not required

Position Title: Assistant Coach

Position Summary
Summary:
The assistant coach supports the head coach in running the athletic program in line with school district policies and IHSA regulations. They help implement training, practices, and game plans while mentoring student-athletes in teamwork, sportsmanship, and development. Responsibilities include ensuring eligibility compliance, assisting with recruitment, and maintaining clear communication. The role also involves supporting administrative tasks, upholding school policies, and serving as a positive role model.
Qualifications:
Professional Educator License, Educator License with Stipulations for Paraprofessional – ELS (PARA), Substitute (SUB license must be registered in DuPage County), or NFHS certification
